Procuring materials for products

Arthaa members have pledged to use eco friendly and ethically traded materials in the production of Arthaa products.

To ensure this, Arthaa cooperative buys its raw materials from Government village industry outlets and known suppliers.

However Arthaa acknowledges that even with every conscious effort made to verify the source of material, it is difficult to source material that is completely organic and fairly made.

Worker participation

Projects and contracts are undertaken with the consent of the worker stakeholders in the cooperative.

Regular meetings are held to democratically discuss strategies and future development of the cooperative for the benefit of all.

Training in tailoring, design, management and leadership is provided to the cooperative workers.
